Port Macquarie 21.11.2011

Rent a car from Hertz. They advertised Toyota Yaris or similiar. And they gave us a Holden Barino. This is for our first leg of the journey which is to Brisbane. The distance is more than 900km. This car is not economical in petrol and we practically see the petrol dropping and have to keep filling up. We stop at Port Macquarie which is a 4 hours drive for the day before continuing our journey.

The seaside is about 10mins walk from our motel. Went for a walk there and ended up at the Port Macquarie Bowling Centre for dinner. Drove around the town centre too but didn't take any picture.

Sydney 20.11.2011

Paddy's market in Sydney. Souvenirs here are the cheapest compare to all the places I went in Australia.

Buying seasonal fruits in the market. Peaches and nectarines are cheap. These are fruits that are rare in Malaysia and very expensive.

Fish market

Lunch at the fish market. Lobster and oyster are cheap and fresh. Have soft shell crab and abalone too. The abalone is expensive and not worth the price we pay for.

Sydney, 19 Nov 2011

Bondi beach. Its summer, so you can see so many people sunbathing at the beach. The sand here is really fine and dry. You can walk on it and it won't stick to your feet. Just shake and it come off easily.

Eating the famous Hurricane pork ribs. Can't get that in Malaysia.

Watch fireworks at night at Darling Harbour. Just so happen that they have fireworks display on that day.

Australia Trip

Took a six weeks leave for a trip to Australia. Its summer at the moment and will be hot. Leave KL on the 18th November night and reach Sydney on the 19th morning. My daughter who is studying there came to meet me.

New Built TV Cabinet

Has been quite sometime since I was thinking of changing the design of the TV cabinet. The old one sort of built-in for the old type of TV. Since I have upgraded to LCD TV, there is a big space at the back its collecting dust. So I decided to call back the same carpenter to make the new cabinet.
The old cabinet

The new cabinet

Been using it for the past week and I think its much better than the old one. The TV is now place in the centre and lower and make viewing more condusive. It cost me RN3800 to make this cabinet and I very satisfied with it.

My Broken Heart

On the 7th of October, 2010, my heart broke into pieces. I lost my husband of 26 years unexpectedly. He died of a broken heart and I am heart broken. How accurate is an ECG when performing medical check-up? None! He went for his yearly medical check-up 3 weeks before and the ECG shows a normal heart beat but how could he die of an acute heart attack. Actually thinking back, the symptoms were all there. He has loss of appetite and complain of gas in the stomach since June and they did an endoscope. He complain of numbness in his left arm, and they send him for physio. Why? because he is an active sportsman. He play tennis every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. On the day he left us, he played tennis in the afternoon. Up till the last moment, my hubby thought it was gastritis. No one, not even the doctors at Penang Hospital at any moment suspected that
he has heart disease.

Today, I will be celebrating his 54th Birthday. Instead I am greiving. Life is uncertain, only death is.
A healthy looking person at one moment, and the next hour left us forever.
There were so many plans we wanted to do during our retirement years........but all that will become a dream.

For this I would like to dedicate the Metta Loving Kindness to my beloved departed hubby
May he be at peace
May he be at ease
May he be happy
May he be safe
